Until I found this stuff, I was using paper towels under pots and pans on an induction cooktop. The paper towel did a great job of protecting the hob from being scratched by the pan, but when cooking on high heat the paper towel burned a bit and some of that burn had transferred to the surface of the hob and had to be scraped off. with a mild scouring agent (e.g. ORIGINAL Bon Ami). I haven't had any issues with these leaves or any other signs of heat damage. These sheets are easy to cut and because they are reusable you can keep them with your pots and pans. They are also about twice as thin as kitchen paper (maybe even thinner), the gap between the hob and the pan is smaller, so the heat output should be a little higher. There is enough material on the roll to make about 3 sets of towels. Protectors cut to size and being reusable I expect this reel will last quite a while.
