I've been buying standard parts for my Ford cars since the 70's because they've always been an exact fit and have been of high quality, especially the Blue Streak brand which spins it out to be. I replaced a rotor that was loose and sloppy on the distributor shaft. This junk is weaker and sloppier than the 2 year old 1 I picked up! The problem seems to be that the inner tongue that fits into the groove in the shaft slot is too narrow and much shorter than the slot. The inner circumference of the part is also loose and sloppy. Luckily I bought a couple of them from different brands, a Motorcraft because the most expensive of them all, from my local parts store, was also looser and dingier than the one I was looking to replace due to sloppiness caused by wear and tear on the shaft. . The Motorcraft model is the only one true to size.
