These metal pins are good. I have a set from another brand, identical but different brands, so they are most likely made in the same factory somewhere in China. However, they are not as opaque as shown in the advertising photo. Yes you can see the ink on the black paper but no they are not as bright and vibrant as in the photo. Difficult to distinguish different colors. They all just give off a few shiny silver-grey markings. Almost like a normal pencil. If you hit it with the right light, you can see a little better. Again, not the super bright and colorful markings seen in the photo. I'm wondering if there are any differences in what is being sent as another reviewer posted a black paper drawing that is much closer to the promotional photo. While their color looks brilliant and colorful.
