I bought this to shade my elderly cat while she is in a cool bed but the problem is that it only provides shade in the heat of the day. Before 11:00 am and after 1:00 pm, the sun's rays fall under the canopy and onto the refrigerated counter itself. As a result, my cat has decided to forgo the bed altogether. Arizona's sun and heat are unlike most places in the country as they are not only uncomfortable but also very unhealthy. I've since built a cat ramada to cover the bed and give my little old man a much better shelter. I will say that if you can use this canopy in your case, it appears to be made of durable fabric and acceptable quality poles. .I ended up arranging a Dome return and despite the clear statement in the description that the item was "first class and FREE returns" the return would not have been free but required a £5 fee for some reason $.99 so think before you order.
