Home Theater Surround Back

I bought these because I needed surround back speakers that could be mounted to an already finished interior wall. For this purpose they are absolutely perfect. I bought the larger size and am so happy I did as I am happy with the frequency response. In fairness, this is part of a home theater experience, so the sound is adequately complemented by a subwoofer. I use a Yamaha RX-V383BL receiver, which automatically adjusts the EQ, balance and attenuation of each speaker to even out the room acoustics. However, when I turn off the subwoofer late at night to muffle subsonic noise, I have no complaints about these speakers. I'm deducting a star because I received a defective unit and had to return the first pair. The anchors built into the speakers are encased in plastic, and a screw connecting the speaker to the hanging bracket was defective, with the decorative plastic dripping over the threads and partially curing. Due to the plastic, the screw could not be fully tightened, allowing the bracket to freely tap the speaker. To make matters worse, the anchor broke in the dynamics, he was able to turn but would not pull out. Therefore I could not loosen the screw holding the bracket. I had to break the bracket to get the speaker off the wall to get it back and was afraid of damaging the wall. However, the new pair were flawless and sounded great in a home theater group, delivering crisp, clear sound and frequency response over a wide volume range.
