UPDATED 4/26/2021: When I first bought this printer 5 years ago it was only $35 which is why my original review mentioned that I don't want to spend more than $70 on something I don't intend to use much. I also found that I never came back to update the WiFi print info, so I'll do that now! I'll be honest: the WiFi printing function is pretty bad. Before I continue, I should point out that I upgraded my printer to a color laser almost a year ago and gave it to my mother, so it's been a long time since I've printed over WiFi. But maybe I just didn't use it properly. Anyway, if I wanted to print something wirelessly from my phone, I had to download the app and connect it to my wifi, then use the wifi settings in the app to connect to the printer's wifi address, and THEN could I print . If that doesn't bother you anymore, the printer only registered one or two print jobs via the WiFi mobile app, and the rest of the attempts failed. After that I never tried to print wirelessly from a laptop or desktop computer, just kept it connected to the network and used it that way. me and I didn't buy it for WiFi printing anyway. It definitely served its purpose of printing shipping labels and I've actually used it a lot more than I thought I would. All in all I was very, very satisfied. I'll admit that I definitely wouldn't pay $95 for it today if I knew how much I originally paid for it, but it would be a great entry-level laser printer for those who don't need color and aren't interested in wireless printing (and who wants to mess around with ink cartridges anyway!). Oh, and one more thing: the starter toner cartridge lasted me hundreds of pages, even though I accidentally emptied a pack during the initial setup (my poor rug). The printer software also displays pop-up notifications when the toner is low. Overall I think this is still a great printer. FIRST REVIEW 02/11/2016: From time to time I sell my old clothes on eBay. I bought this printer because I was tired of driving to the library every time I needed to print a shipping label. I print so little I can't justify buying anything over $70. The negative reviews I read focused mostly on the difficulty of setting up Wi-Fi, with some people even suggesting workarounds, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway because I wouldn't print much. So far I am very, very satisfied! To be honest, the instructions are pretty bad because they are just pictures with no explanatory text; Still, I was able to set it up with no problems. I didn't want to mess with Wi-Fi after the difficult experiences of others, so I just connected to the computer using the USB cable that came with it. I plugged it straight into my computer, installed the drivers straight away, and didn't even have to use the software CD. Registering print jobs takes time, but printing is very fast. heaps of money, this printer gets the job done. Don't buy it if you want color - it only prints in black (or presumably whatever color toner you buy). If I set up Wi-Fi I will edit my review as the experience progresses.
