Review on πŸ”₯ MEECO's Red Devil 5 lb Creosote Eliminator by Affan Yeo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

sounds good but that's it

My stone fireplace had level 3 creosote build up when I bought a wood stove that was too big for our house and needed to fire it. low so as not to throw us out of the house because of the amount of heat generated by the stove. At 57 I have never bought a product that has exceeded my hopes or expectations, most sound good but that's about it. The mound of creosote was about half an inch thick, black and shiny, and hard as glass, impossible to scratch with a brush. I bought this product as a last chance to try before a $900 chimney replacement or chemical mop scrub. I used it several times a week for a month and finally the warm weather came and in early March I stopped heating the stove. At the end of March I replaced the roof and looked up the chimney to make sure the product was working. I didn't see any changes and wasn't too disappointed as I wasn't expecting much anyway. So today a few months later (October) I went back to the chimney to winterize it and try the chain mallet to deal with the creosote and to my complete surprise THE CHIMNEY WAS CRYSTAL CLEAN! Like new is wonderful, no creosote, no soot, just a new chimney cap. I went back downstairs and opened the chimney cleaner to find buckets full of fine creosote flakes and powder, the creosote destroyer just dropped it, I cleaned the fallen creosote and my chimney was good as new. BLANK: I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED, THIS THING WORKS AND WORKS GREAT. Feel free to buy it!
