Review on Luber Finer LAF2531 Heavy Duty Filter by Richard Cummings

To fit a 2004 Dodge RAM 3500 HD Cummins. This completely replaces the standard plastic airbox/filter. It's big, you don't know how big until you take it out of the box. It's so big you'll think it'll never fit in there. But just take your time, be gentle and wiggle it instead of just trying to push it in and eventually it will snap into place. It fits very snugly so once you put it in there it doesn't need to be held back by anything else. Once installed, it's just fantastic. The engine breathes a lot better, my mileage is up (about 2-3 mpg on the freeway) and my "trouser seat" performance feels better. For some reason the howl of the turbo is now much more noticeable when in place. I don't know if it's because I'm paying more attention or if it's really loud, but it sounds cool.
