Luckily we were home both times to retie him. After the second time at 2am we used the stronger nylon straps we had. Glad we had it on hand. The prices offered were great. Not these little metal ones. It's thick plastic with deep teeth for hooking into the ground. Because the wind tore at the lines, the stakes never came out of the ground. So he's a winner, just buy some strong rope for your chains. It's all laid out inside so it can be stored nice and dry until next year. It ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a good chunk of 5 weeks with no headlight or engine problems. We love it, even that night when we were outside in the cold doing renovations.
