If collecting backpacks can become an addiction then I'm not on the level to consume Scarface's magic mountain but I am definitely on the level h*** get at your own expense. I currently have about 20 backpacks, some of which are still in their original packaging as I am still waiting 1.5 years after the pandemic started to travel in Asia as I have been doing every year since 2009. My very first was also my very best in a long time as it lasted so long and it was the High Sierra backpack I bought here at Revain and since then I've compared every backpack I've selected to it. Blackpack, and frankly it's not that attractive. It doesn't really have a defining style, except perhaps for its bright orange interior, which reminds me of some of my Case Logic camera backpacks. But what it lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in practicality, and that's what I love most about it. For me, a backpack is the perfect travel companion because it conveys intimacy and security. It's the only bag you carry, so it's always with you when it serves its purpose. And it's on the back so you don't have to keep looking at it. What I particularly like, which most other backpacks don't have, is the two side compartments that can fully accommodate a water bottle, sports bottle, or any vertical container or accessory. It's more secure than the basic mesh pockets found in most backpacks, which fit better if you use them frequently, which is why I think this Mos Blackpack is more suited to trekking than simple travel. Another notable feature is that like an expandable suitcase, you can expand the backpack as needed. You can keep the standard size for simple trips and increase it for longer trips when you need to pack more clothes and essentials. There are plenty of compartments and pockets and they all appear to be durable, with quality materials, stitching and zips. Finally, and perhaps the most notable feature, is the power cord included in the case, which can be plugged into a power bank. or a power supply. So, for example, if you are waiting at the airport or anywhere near an outlet, you can plug in the power cord to charge the power bank or plug in the power adapter to charge your devices. A lot of backpacks now have this USB cable to connect to a power bank, but this is the first backpack I've seen that includes a full-size power cable to plug into an outlet. It has increased versatility, allowing you to use an AC adapter instead of a power bank, making it more versatile and eye-catching. The product description encourages you to buy their name brand power supplies, but you can use almost any power supply. It's a little more than I want to spend on a travel backpack to be honest, as usual the ones I've bought from High Sierra and Samsonite are around $100 but this is the flagship and highest quality backpack from the brand, and I think it's worth an investment if you travel a lot and safety is high on your priority list because the high quality backpack and the many pockets, compartments and features make it worth it. This may be the only backpack you will need for a long time.
