Dretec 3-in-1 Digital Up-Down Counter

and sounds alarms Big handy mute and lock button Functions "I bought this product to use with my 3D printer, to see how long a print is taking and to warn me when the expected print time has expired. As information on the Revain is sparse, I'm including my own extended user guide below as part of this review. This product is a digital calendar clock, which also has three counter functions; Countdown (from preset to zero), countdown (to stop - like a stopwatch) and date countdown (starts from the current date in the watch calendar and beeps when another date in the future is reached). While it's basically palm-sized to fit in your hand, its design makes it better when placed on a table; It is best to look at the display from above or from above slightly away from the front edge. It measures 2-3/8" wide, 3-1/4" tall, and 7/8" thick. It has a large START/STOP button on the top/front, as well as three additional buttons for setup and programming as well as a red LED for alarms and a non-backlit 6-digit LCD (you'll need to use it somewhere to get good lighting.) The product is battery powered, consisting of a pair of AAA cells, no external power supply provided .Since the internal circuitry is likely to be low power and the LCD has no backlight I would expect the batteries to last a long time. Please note that there is no power switch here as this product also includes a calendar clock which of course is always on must be in order to function. The rest of this product's features are best described in the following instruction manual.I wrote this because the instructions that come with the timer are very small a are printed (difficult to read) and because they are not always clear. SETUP After changing the battery, the display will show '2018', which means the timer needs to be set. - If "2018" is not flashing, press and hold the SET button for about 3 seconds until it flashes - "2018" is the default year. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the current year and press the SET button to continue. - The display changes to MONTH/DATE; Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the first two digits on the left to the current month (the digits to be set will flash), press SET to move to DATE and make the necessary settings. Press SET again to continue.- The display will change to HH:MM:SS; as previously set by pressing SET to move to the next part of the display. Press and hold UP or DOWN to quickly change the setting. Each part of the display, such as B. HH, flips over if the adjustment is pushed too far in either direction. Note that the timer defaults to 24-hour mode, so set the clock to 24-hour format when making this setting. If you press SET after setting MM, the timer will start its clock at SS starting at 00 (it seems this cannot be set). In clock display mode, press SET(12/24) button to switch between two styles; The AM/PM style shows a tiny A (for AM) or P (for PM) in the far right corner of the display, while the 24-hour style shows nothing in that area. MODES The timer has four modes of operation: - Countdown. ; Press the mode button on the left side of the timer to switch from clock mode to countdown mode and the display will show 00:00:00 with the letters 'H', 'M' and 'S' across the top of the display. Press the H, M and S keys to change the corresponding parts of the display by setting the countdown time. Press the large START/STOP button on top of the timer to start the countdown. Press again to stop the countdown, press again to resume the countdown, etc. Simultaneously press the MIN and SEC (RESET) buttons to reset the counter to 00:00:00; This works regardless of whether the timer is counting or stopped. When the timer counts down to 00:00:00, the red LED will flash rapidly and the timer will emit a loud, pulsing beep; Press the large START/STOP button to turn off the sound. After the alarm is silenced, the display reverts to the original settings, allowing another countdown of the same duration to be performed; Press some keys (RESET) to clear the display. Press the mode button on the left side of the timer to switch from countdown mode to countdown mode and the display will show 00:00:0 with only "M" and "S" at the bottom of the display. If necessary, press a few keys (RESET) to clear the display. The large START/STOP button starts, stops and restarts the countdown while the display shows minutes, seconds and hundredths of a second. - date countdown; Press the mode button on the left side of the timer to switch from countdown mode to date countdown mode and the display will show 0 with a tiny D (for date) in the far right corner of the display. Press and hold the SET button for about 3 seconds and the current year will be displayed. If desired, use the UP and DOWN scroll buttons to change the date to a new date in the future (based on the current date programmed during setup) and press SET to set all year, Accept month and date changes in the same way and when the clock is first set. After you press the SET button to accept the new date, the display will show the number of days between the current date and the newly programmed date and the timer will start counting down the days. When the timer counts down to 0 days difference, the red LED will flash rapidly and the timer will emit a loud pulsing beep; Press the large START/STOP button to turn off the sound. Holding down SET for more than 3 seconds clears the current date countdown. OTHER FEATURES - Auto restore; If no button is pressed within 20 seconds when changing a setting, the timer will revert to the last accepted numeric values. On the right side of the timer is a 3-position slide switch for LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH. This refers to the beep that sounds during countdown and date countdown mode. - blocking; On the right side of the timer is a two-position slide switch for LOCK and UNLOCK. When locked, none of the timer buttons have any effect. When unlocked, the timer buttons work as described above.
