Good hard drive -- watch out for broken cable
The hard drive itself works as advertised BUT after 9 months the cable broke and I thought the whole hard drive was bad. The light came on and I felt it spinning, but it never got installed on my computers (OS X, Linux and Windows). I thought it was a defective drive and was very dismayed at the warranty issues other people were having. Luckily I had a different cable and decided to try it and it worked! If you have problems with the drive, try a different cable before throwing it in the trash like I almost did!
