Don't expect this to be a real home theater subwoofer. It is not. But if you have a small footprint and bookshelf speakers, it can add some much-needed bass for music playback and basic TV and movie watching. Add this to a full surround sound system and you'll be disappointed. Given those expectations and the size, it's pretty impressive and quite possibly the best WAF subwoofer ever made. Big black boxes that take up a lot of space look terrible in most small spaces. It looks like a small side stand and is unobtrusive. If your speakers can reproduce 50-60Hz or so with reasonable authority, I don't think it will add much to your system. But for small satellites or speakers around -6dB around 50-60Hz this can fill that 40-60 range pretty well.
