I have a large picture window in my living room. Due to the layout of the room, the only place where the sofa can be conveniently placed is in front of the window. We used to have crossbar pleated curtains, but trying to find washable replacement curtains that could be used with a crossbar was next to impossible (what the heck is that?), so we settled on eyelet curtains. The challenge was opening and closing the curtains without having to reach across the sofa and pull each panel manually. This tool moves easily through space to push or pull panels without touching them with your hand. I have a 1 inch rod and hang my tools on it when I'm not using it. I first tried one of the plastic sticks (or stick) and found it was uncomfortable and didn't want to pull evenly. This tool works much better.
