I compare this to the proprietary fused filter media that I prefer. This product is very thin and easy to compress compared to the popular brand (PB). He's nice and soft. It looks like both the white and blue sides are the same filter media, just different colors, same density, and it looks like it's all one piece and the top has been colored. PB obviously consists of two separate parts. PB is much denser, which increases its filtering capacity. I have to change this product in my tanks 3-4 times a week and PB 2 times a week. I turned on the video. This product is on the left with a lighter blue color. PB is on the right with a darker blue.
