I have bought these special tea lights for our coffee carafe for a couple of years. The first batches of these candles were just right for my needs; They burned as advertised and left no black soot at the bottom of the glass carafe. However, they have recently changed and the quality is much lower now. The last three batches I ordered produce a huge amount of soot at the bottom of the decanter. It literally builds up to half an inch thick in under 2 hours of firing! It's a huge mess that needs cleaning up unless I hold it directly under the tap and it ends up in my hands when I reach for the carafe to pour coffee. Unfortunately I combined two coffees in one big bag and threw away the packaging so I couldn't return it. They are so messy that giving them up was a better option than using them. I ordered them again after about a month hoping the others might have been a faulty batch but it still happens. So this time I'm sending them back. Yes, they're so cheap it's hardly worth it, but sometimes it's important to make yourself known by coming back and writing a review.
