pens are good, but the reason I give 1 star is because if my daughter didn't know better, she will be seriously hurt could become . She correctly inserted the batteries into the brass pin. The light didn't come on. Then when she pulled out the batteries to recharge them, they were too hot to touch. If it got any hotter, they could explode. At one point my husband thought the handle had melted on the inside and discovered it was missing a spring and wasn't sure why. Be careful when inserting batteries. We threw away the pen and the new batteries.
