Review on Thule Subterra Backpack 30L Black Backpacks in Casual Daypacks by Andrew Vogel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A well-built backpack that is too stiff for flexible packing.

I actually returned this backpack for a Timbuk 2 Division backpack (Timbuk2 Men's The Division Backpack, Oxide Heather, one size). While the Thule Subterra is very well made, I found the Thule Subterra to be very soft and inflexible, making it harder to put together things I needed to carry like books and clothes. Although it's technically 1 liter larger than the Timbuk 2, I found it to have less space, but it was also larger and bulkier on my back. The front pocket was also too narrow to hold bulky items.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Unfashionable
