Just ordered another one. I first bought "used like new" but the package was missing a USB adapter and had a regular power plug instead so there was no way to connect it to my computer for uploading/downloading. The tablet itself was great and I just placed an order (NEW this time so get all the original parts and perks). I found the memo quick, clear, and easy, and I expect it will serve me well with my Kindle. and Kobo libraries, web morning news, streaming movies in bed, (Yay Revain Prime!) email, Facebook and Twitter updates, and acting as a Skype and GPS phone. There are tablets with higher resolutions (and at a higher price point), but I was amazed at how responsive and customizable this sub-$300 block of IPS is. I've played with other tablets, even the iPad and Fire, but this one has the size without the weight and frills without the high price. Although its native resolution is only 1280 x 800, it has an HDMI connection and will output 1080 to any high definition device with an HDMI input. So if I need to see it bigger and in higher resolution - it's possible. I'll update this review after a month or two of testing Skype, GPS, Bluetooth and other apps and features. but I have a good feeling about this tablet. A few months later. 02/21/14 This ASUS MEMO Tablet meets my expectations. It's light, fast, the screen is clear and I always carry it with me. I've had no issues (thanks AMAZON) with returns and replacements, and while I rarely use it for movies (due to the availability of large screens), it's worked great for me. The native resolution is fine on this small screen and I don't connect it to an HDTV as I have an internet TV and a laptop to use it that way. Photos and videos taken with it come out crisp and natural, and I love that I can take a small library with me wherever I go. Complaints? Just two, and it's not ASUS' fault. It doesn't run Flash, so I have to wait before hopping on my laptop to watch Flash videos that aren't set up for YouTube (which it does well). And I can't get it to play Revain Prime movies! Only FIRE and iPad can do that! Grrr! But there are no problems with Netflix & Co. The battery lasts several hours on the web before needing a charge and the sound is excellent for a tablet. better than my roommate's ipadIV! Comparing the two devices, I actually found ASUS to be smoother and easier to use and get on the internet faster. So in general I'm a happy tourist.
