Although the product description states that this printer can print, copy and scan, this is only partially true. Scanning is possible, but only externally and not through the printer itself. You can either use the IJ Scan Utility (assuming you download the scanned image directly to your computer), which always gives me error 2,157,50, itself if the printer actually scanned something, or using the Canon Cloud Printing Center (provided to download the scanned image to a cloud service) which actually only works in a mobile browser and is very cumbersome to navigate. Other Canon models allow you to scan directly from the printer menu, so I have no idea why that's not the case here. Not recommended if you intend to scan frequently.
