Revainrating 5 out of 5

Improves skin texture, smoothes wrinkles, gives a beautiful radiant glow

I have been using Glytone Glycolic Acid for over 10 years in addition to my effective and simple skincare regimen which contains Tretinoin. My skin texture has greatly improved, fine lines and glow have improved and honestly look better than I did at 25. This Glycolic Acid formula offers the highest over-the-counter formulation available and needs to be increased very gradually or (wise word) chemically to burn your skin. Use only the equivalent of a large pea to cover face (including behind ears), neck (including all around), chest (avoid between breasts if your breasts touch in the middle, this caused my skin to burn)) and back of hand/fingers . Less is better. It has a highly moisturizing consistency and visibly improves fine lines, texture, pores and radiance. Unlike tretinoin, which takes months to see even a slight improvement, with glycolic acid you'll notice improvements in just a week. My skin is a little paradoxical as it is also very sensitive due to rosea, which comes from my Northern European ancestors, but my dermatologist categorizes it. as "steady” after multiple IPL treatments for spider veins and telangiectasia in roseasis, where she had to drastically increase settings after each session due to lack of vein destruction compared to other patients with similar skin type. And even stranger, it improved my roseasis in a way that prescription creams, finacea, and metronidazole never did. I've also had several lesions from sebaceous hyperplasia over the years, which are now a thing of the past as Glyton Glycolic Acid sloughs off dead skin cells that contribute to the excess sebum production associated with this skin condition. I started with the lowest percentage. , following the recommendations of the blog by Dr. Cynthia Bailey (Oprah's dermatologist). I now use 20% morning and night on my face, neck, chest and arms. I take a day or two off when my skin gets overly dry. A word of caution, it creates a tingly effect which if it feels intensely like burning again less product is more until you determine your skin tolerance. It also makes the skin temporarily more sensitive, I got over that after a few weeks, but it came back for a short while with every increase in acidity. And always use sunscreen as it will increase your sensitivity to the sun and make you sunburn quicker and easier than before. Brandit Irwin writes extensive skincare blogs from a layperson's perspective. Paula's selection is also a great resource). In addition to these pages, start reading scientific research articles at ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/. And don't rely on women's magazines for unbiased recommendations. All you have to do is flip through the ads selling us $200 moisturizers that feel great on the skin but don't hydrate like CeraVe or Cetaphil. Glytonglycolic acid is my favorite skin care product. This year I turn 51 and am constantly mistaken for thirty. Glytone's Glycolic Acid formula is incredibly effective, affordable and a small amount of product makes a big difference.
