Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Vinay Ahuja ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

I bought a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens 2 years ago for a Canon 1200D camera. The pictures came out pretty good. Then I switched to a full-frame Canon 6D. Of course, the quality has improved. I shot with this lens for about six months. Despite the low cost, the quality of the photos is excellent. There were no breakdowns all the time. Now I'm thinking of switching to fifty kopecks 1.4. And the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens is a good option for beginners. 1000 times better than a kit lens. I recommend it to those who are just learning to photograph.

Pros
  • 1. Beautiful background blur; 2. bokeh; 3. Color rendition; 4. Light; 5. Inexpensive (bought for 7000); 6. Makes the picture three-dimensional; 7. Suitable for both crop and full frame cameras; 8. Ideal for outdoor portraits.
Cons
  • Sometimes "soaps" and does not give the desired sharpness
