I replaced an old (15 year old) ceiling light with these in ceiling tiles (2x4). The old one had struts attached to the beams, an electrical box and a pot with a built in lightbulb and probably weighed 5 pounds. It was a lot harder to figure out than to install this one. I had to expand the circle from 5 to 6 inches but that was the hardest part. Once you connect it to a power source, it just snaps into place. And it's so light I don't have to worry about it sticking into a ceiling tile without fixing. Very bright light - we have it over the sink in our lounge bar and it does the job perfectly.
