Okay, I know I didn't buy it for hockey sticks or anything. I bought it for the horizontal bar hanging on the door. The grip on this thing had deteriorated and I was looking for something to wrap it around a metal pole to hold it in place. When I put it on it initially rotated easily and the grip was great. It was comfortable and my kid said it had a good grip and loved it. This was done in winter, by the way, when it was colder. After a while and now that it's getting warmer, the tape is sticking properly. I mean the grip is good but it just feels a bit sticky. My kid said because it's for hockey sticks and they're always in the cold, maybe they aren't made for warmer temperatures? Possibly, but he also had it for any sport that required a secure fit. At least that part is very true, the grip is fantastic. I'll probably look for other tapes to cover the metal bar that doesn't feel as sticky. Might work for others, but now I just need to figure out what to do with the other two reels.
