My husband spent hours installing this on his 2005 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. First, the shaft (hook) at the end of the spring is at the wrong angle. The original spring part has a 45 degree angle, and this part has a U-shaped end. It's also too long. The metal is also very cheap and ended up having to be cut off the bike, which was easily done with "bolt cutters" (not a good sign of good metal) as it couldn't hold up. He ended up using his old quill and going to the dealer for the real part. It was a waste of money.
