Samsung is pretty quiet about this product, but it excels in a specific niche, and that's the blurred area between a flip camera and a full-fledged camcorder that really does it is the HMX-T10. It's very small - just 1.2 ounces larger than the current 4GB Flip UltraHD and barely more. For the extra weight, you get a 10x optical zoom, sophisticated image stabilization, a pivoting touchscreen, and more. I'm not a Samsung employee, but I find the HMX-T10 to be superior to any Flip offering right now. improved temporal resolution and looks great, especially when shooting fast-moving subjects. More creative control is possible with manual shutter, exposure and focus, as well as some program settings and auto modes. the microphone input and the occasional whirring of the autofocus and zoom motors (albeit quietly). Those with small hands might find the thumb controls on the back a bit difficult to reach unless you're steadying the camera with your other hand. I'd rather have all the controls on top (where the infinitely adjustable zoom control already is).
