my 10 year old kid uses it normally. The battery is much better than the previous, different brand. Our only limit was finding a case that she likes and that fits the camera holes. We found a few that fit but my kid didn't like them. We just received one that didn't fit in the camera hole but can be easily removed for taking pictures, which isn't very common.
