Review on Targus CityLite Backpack Compact TSB938GL by Sarah Bailey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great if you need a lot of interior space and extra security

I'm considering the Targus CityLite Pro Secure Compact which is different in size and design to other CityLite backpacks. This is a fairly compact hardwall backpack that stands on its own. Build quality and material quality are excellent. This is a minimalist backpack with no external zipped compartments (except for a small protective sleeve). It's great for an urban commute or for trips where internal security is more important than multiple external zippered compartments. A big plus for me is that it closes all the way down and folds in half like a suitcase, briefcase or holdall. Facilitates the retrieval of items. Both sides have elasticated pockets for water bottles or umbrellas. It has a zip pocket at the bottom of the backpack on the back. You must remove your backpack to access it. Inside a large compartment with open compartments/pocket for laptop and tablet. Other interior pockets include a small zippered mesh pocket for pens, cables, phones, etc. There are no pen holders, key clips, paper/binder slots, etc. You get a large recessed compartment for extra items like clothes, shoes, jackets. , books etc. The external zips are strong, secure and designed to allow a small padlock through for added security. If you want a backpack with lots of compartments and external zippered pockets, this won't work. If you're looking for a backpack that's relatively compact, secure, stylish, and easy to carry, and that will fit your 15" laptop and 12" or smaller tablet, this is the backpack for you. I like.
