One of our kittens is not doing well and not eating much. We try to figure out why while we talk them into eating. Since we adopted them over ten years ago, both kittens have been fed premium natural canned food and have always been in good health and have generally eaten well. I never thought she would love them more than treats, more than her favorite canned foods, more than sardines! Chunks are easy to give as a treat, but it's also easy to break up their canned food and get them to eat some more. Even if they had no other benefit, that money would be well spent. Her sister loves her too! For those who say there shouldn't be that much plant matter - this is part of what provides digestive support, enzymes and fiber! Meat is the first ingredient, not grains, but papaya, squash, and other ingredients can be good for kitties with digestive issues - they certainly helped my kittens! This is normal nutrition. She ate Instinct's freeze-dried raw food with great enthusiasm and never threw up, even though she had problems with various canned foods. Now it is better suited to canned food as I have started adding enzymes as well as probiotics for cats to In Clover Fresh Digest food. I will continue to feed her Instinct freeze dried raw food and to aid in her digestion, both as a change and as a treat and supplement.
