I never thought I would find better headphones than Yurbuds, but it is. The JVC matches the Yurbuds in terms of sound quality and in-ear fit. JVC has succeeded in designing the earcup so that the earcup is more securely attached to the earcup. The JVC earbud is thinner than the Yurbud earbud. But the fit in the ear canal is the same. So no loss of quality. When you remove the JVC earbud you will see a thin film covering the speakers on each earbud. Its purpose is to keep debris out of the speaker and it does a good job. However, over time, the cover becomes partially clogged with dirt, which can affect sound quality. I was able to remove the cover, wash it with warm soapy water and put it back on. The only issue for me is the straight fork. Because I carry my walkie-talkie in my pocket, the wire to the straight plug is constantly stretched. An angled plug would have been much more functional.
