As someone whose family spent a lot of time in the sun when I was growing up, I had some basal cells removed. Now I'm very careful outside and a bit of an expert on sunscreen. You don't have to buy the most expensive dermatologist-recommended brand, but you do need a physical blocker like zinc oxide, not a chemical blocker (which is generally no longer recommended by most dermatologists). This remedy for sensitive skin doesn't cause breakouts and actually helps heal minor scratches on your body. Essential for children and recommended for adults. Our whole family uses it.
