This works where fewer pins and other adapters don't work on my Mac Pro. I recommended it to a colleague and it worked. You will probably see some opinions about the strength of a magnet. For me they are sufficient. USB-C cables have a lot of bulk, while the old Magsafe power cords were very flexible. Any additional thickness would add volume and size to this connector. As another reviewer suggested, another vendor also sells small magnetic cable management clips if you have a bulky cable, a good combo here. The size is reasonable but of course bigger than pure USB-C, it doesn't block neighboring USB-C ports. for my mac. My only critical design suggestion would be if the metal adapter and connector were laser cut to the precise, tight tolerances found in Apple's original Magsafe connectors. This precise fit and positive landing edge help the adapter be more stable when subjected to random torsional forces on the cable. Of course it's going to cost more, so maybe there's a second "premium" version for those who want it to fit and feel. I would buy it again and recommend it to my friends/colleagues without hesitation. I have not received any compensation
