I received this product after my school went virtual to be able to use my computer and participate in video calls. Unfortunately, after less than a year of using this product, the plastic around the screen hinge appears to be cracking with normal use. Since the screen isn't cheap, I expect to be able to use the product regularly but gently for a few years and that doesn't seem to be the case. If you're looking for a short-term fix, this screen might be for you. However, I do not recommend this product if you plan to use it for a long period of time, and certainly not for children who are more prone to the plastic breaking. Aside from the screen being in the process of being destroyed, there's also some distortion to the second desktop as the screen size is a bit smaller than my 13-inch MacBook. This makes all the text on the added screen larger than on my normal screen, which isn't exactly ideal. However, this is something I initially overlooked because it's a minor issue; tolerable if the screen was better.
