First of all, I want to say that I was super excited when I opened the package. The material used in this dress is super, super soft and the weight of it is just right for summer. I ordered black and did not find it to be too thin at all. HOWEVER, I’ve learned from mistakes in the past and from reviews on here and ordered up a size from what I normally wear. I also viewed many different dresses like this and settled on this one because it seemed longer than the rest. I normally prefer long skirts but have just had heel surgery and wanted something that wouldn’t get tangled up around my feet or crutches. I was so disappointed when I tried it on! It clung to my stomach and did not come anywhere near my knees. and I’m only 5’2”! The pictures do show a rounded hemline, but the actual product goes up VERY FAR on my thigh. Together these two things make it feel entirely inappropriate to wear out if the house. I tried it today with a skirt underneath and just felt like it was entirely too long for that. I’ve heard a lot of reviewers say you get what you pay for, but I feel that I could’ve easily went to Target and got something similar that I could wear out and about and be comfortable. On the plus side, I have a super soft new nightgown now.
