Like many others, I think I ordered these security cameras because of their 8MP/4K resolution. And the difference in clarity with my 4MP cameras is significant. These cameras are much sharper. But they are not only much clearer during the day. They are also much clearer at night. We really like these Reolink cameras. The physical installation of this camera couldn't be simpler. You simply install the camera in the desired location and then simply run a Cat5 cable between the camera and a POE switch, router or NVR. That's all. Setting this camera as a standalone camera is done in a web browser. It's very easy and only takes a few minutes. However, as usual, setting up this camera to work with any ONVIF/NVR security system will almost certainly be a bit more difficult and time consuming. So just plan some time to integrate this camera into your existing system. Just to let you know what's possible, I bought an ONVIF camera a few years ago that no matter how I tried I couldn't get it into my system. Finally, after a few hours, I gave up and sent the camera back. I think overall they are great cameras. Daytime clarity is excellent, nighttime clarity is excellent and smart detection works very well. I think you will have a hard time finding a better 4K/8MP security camera.
