My 12 lb toy poodle has been on Wellness Core Small Breed Grain Free dog food since he was a puppy. Now he is 5 years old. I decided to make the switch to give it a smoked salmon flavored variety. This taste is not suitable for small dogs in the form of small pieces. I decided to purchase after reading the reviews. The kibble size of this dog food is about a dime, which is twice the size of the small breed dog food my dog is used to. He eats one piece at a time and bites them into smaller pieces and has no problem. He is very picky about his food but has had no problem switching brands, flavors or pellet sizes. He likes the taste of salmon.
