Comfortable but doesn't work

I used to work in South Korea and it's cold there in winter. In the civilian market area, I bought headphones because Uncle Sam didn't see fit to give us one, although he thought the ABC gear was a necessity. These headphones have performed brilliantly even in extremely cold weather and are the benchmark by which I judge all others. Too bad they ended up breaking. It was six degrees outside this morning, colder from the wind; spent 30 minutes outside and my ears were freezing. Now it's 26 degrees, in an hour your ears will get cold. As they are comfortable, stick with them and are in the multipack I will keep them and try to modify them for efficiency. Hope it works. I tested a mod I made and it works in 25 degree weather; after two hours the ears are not cold, although the hands and feet are cold. Cut a 4" diameter circle out of 1/2" thick seat foam (I usually make oiled engine air filters out of this), check the position and pin, sew inside using scraps of material as a backing to hold the foam inside. Place. Holds up well, yet light, not obtrusive, and the sound still comes through. Soft closed-cell foam should be the best option since chair foam has open cells, but I used what I had on hand.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
