We use this pump to change the water in our paddling pool - so we can use it to water the plants in the garden rather than dumping all the water in one spot on the lawn. . I'm very impressed with how durable this pump feels - it's all metal on the outside and quite heavy. When not connected to and constrained by a hose, this pump will pump a ton of water. It comes with the necessary fittings to connect directly to a garden hose. Even with the hose connected, it pumps a lot of water very quickly. It's also good to have such a pump on hand in case our basement floods.
