TL; DR – The computer itself is fantastic, the first time I installed Windows 10 booted onto it something strange happened that caused me to reinstall the OS before I could even use it. The computer itself is great, can't complain about the i7 and SSD at this price point. The problem I'm having is related to the Windows 10 installation that was done on it. After the initial setup and going to the desktop, a background process (which doesn't show up in Task Manager) was stalling disk usage at 100% and the entire system (including the mouse and keyboard) became unresponsive. I have a hard time believing it was ONLY Windows updates (although I've never had such completely frozen systems before) as the Apps and features menu lists the audio driver and VLC (apparently it came preinstalled) is listed as installed became 6/1. After letting him do what I thought were overnight updates, he still didn't respond in the morning. So I reinstalled Windows 10 and the system works great. I am writing this as a cautionary tale; Anyone buying a new computer like this would expect it to work right out of the box, but that's definitely not the case.
