The top is chipboard and this top came with a crack running the full width of the top at the bottom. The crack is as deep as a chipboard and extends from the top to the white surface without penetrating the surface finish. The first image shows the curved shape of the upper due to this tear. In the second photo a view of the crack from the underside of the countertop. Every time I try to use my laptop to work, it shakes and I get distracted and can't work. Crack in the table top. I couldn't photograph the box because I had to hire someone to help me assemble it and they threw it away too quickly. We looked at the box AFTER we found the cracked countertop and that's when we saw how weird Revain's branded tape was, sticking at an angle on the box and covering the hole in the box. The person I hired assembled the legs first, and the damaged countertop was the final step, so we didn't discover it until it was almost fully assembled. As I had to hire someone to assemble it I couldn't wrap it up to return. I had to hire someone because I broke both my shoulders a few weeks ago. I needed this table because when I try to work at a typical table height of 30 inches, my shoulders start to hurt within minutes. Shoulder pain due to a table position that is too high. Instead, every time I try to work, I'm reminded that someone at Revain saw the damaged countertop and shipping box, covered the cracked box with Revain tape to hide the cracked, damaged item, and took it on anyway sent to the paying customer. . I hate this man every time because he doesn't give a fuck about the customer buying the product. The person who packed this damaged item in the shipping box gave me trouble every time I tried to use this little table. I hate you. I can't even rate this desk as the laptop shakes on the curved top and I can't use it for its intended purpose. And to make matters worse, even though I paid for the table, I still haven't solved the problem of needing a smaller height to do some work while I adjust to my injury. I hate the person who taped and mailed this damaged item so many times. I bought the product to deal with my injury and it didn't because that person didn't care about anyone. With my injury I can't take it apart and send it back but Revain should send me a new countertop with no cracks. What I have already paid for.
