Almost perfectly good for me

I bought this monitor for web development, photo editing, and general things like web browsing and email. I don't play games, so I can't comment on aspects important to this app. This monitor has so many options. pretty much everything you could want in an ultra wide monitor. Brightness is more than sufficient. Sharpness is excellent (and adjustable). The screen has a nice matte finish with an anti-reflective coating. not too rough and not too shiny. The color balance and accuracy is better than any monitor I've ever used. The on-screen controls are logical and allow you to customize almost anything you need. Also, I didn't notice any dead or bright pixels in the resulting device. My only issue with this monitor is the uneven screen brightness. (See attached images.) When viewing the monitor from what I consider a normal working distance (about an arm's length), the center of the screen is noticeably brighter than either side. Part of that is probably due to the viewing angle (because the screen is so wide), but even at 6ft the brightness still drops on either side. This aspect of screen performance may or may not be important to you. If not, then I think you could be very happy with this monitor.

Pros
  • Delivers pleasant sensations
Cons
  • Flickering: If the monitor's refresh rate is too low, the display may flicker.
