Mylar balloons didn't stay inflated

I was inflating mylar balloons and one of them had a puncture and the other lost most of its inflation within 2 hours. Also, I never bought banners that had to be collected. I didn't open them until I needed them because I didn't realize the banners would take 20-30 minutes to assemble.
