The viewfinder is a big plus.
This is a great camera to start with and 99% of us non-professional photographers will be more than happy with it, but the ability to adjust the shot on screen or through the viewfinder makes it a must have for me. Too light or too dark? It doesn't matter, you can see your setup regardless of the ambient light conditions.
