This is the best design for a Z mount. It works with short Arca-Swiss brackets but not long brackets as shown in the photos (stud mounting blocks how far this Z-bracket can travel over the Arca-Swiss plate). However, I do not consider this to be a significant disadvantage. I love that they have tension knobs that are easy to adjust to desired angles and fit heavier cameras. I also like that it doesn't block access to my battery port on my camera, so I can easily change batteries without removing the camera from the mount. The all-metal construction is well thought out.
