Fits fairly snugly with a 3/4" drill bit for the hole. I don't think this will prevent the intended water entry into my RV. Disappointed, at least it doesn't come with a simple rubber -O-ring or something.I used a liberal amount of Dicor under the lip which should work although mastic would have been better.The cap is pretty loose and I'm sure it will come loose when you move it.I have to find a way find doing it better.Maybe the tape or heat shrink tubing around the connector was marked red/black on the outside for my purpose, but to be honest the SAE connector standard doesn't dictate which pin should be positive or negative, it only does the size of the plug I can't call them for that, just to note here that you need to test all your connections with a multimeter before making a connection
