There was an old talking scale from around 1987 that we replaced. Our old scale underestimated weight and only showed it to the nearest pound. As far as I can tell, these scales are accurate. I don't have any counterweights to compare right away. But a couple of times we compared our weight right after we got home from the gym and the weight was within two-tenths of a pound. It's great in my book. The broad base is also good. Surgery doesn't get much easier for the elderly. Insert the batteries and set the switch to the talk position. For those concerned about privacy, you can turn off the language.
