This is my third Canon printer. I've been HP's only user and fan for over a decade. Eventually I got tired of constantly swapping out the four printers I use (two for business and two for personal use) and the high cost of HP supplies. I switched to Epson a few years ago and have been happier with Epson printers and ink prices than HP. A little over a year ago I started replacing some Epson printers with Canon printers. This is our third Canon printer. We have fewer issues with (required software updates) printer drivers than HP or Epson. It's a fairly compact printer, so it won't hold a full stack of paper like some of the larger Canon printers I have, but the print quality is just as good. The software/touchscreen works pretty much like my other Canon model. Google Cloud Print and other cloud services as well as direct printing for mobile phones can be configured on the screen. It's not always intuitively clear where what's on the menu, but I never had to consult the manual. The ink is available online at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Cannon printers, although I can say that the Epson printers are good too and I don't have a particular preference for any of them. If you are an existing HP customer, I strongly recommend replacing HP with such a model. You'll find that savings on ink costs can pay for itself in a matter of months or less, depending on how much ink you use.
