Ever-loved Canon printers

Ever-loved Canon printers. In general it works fine but I really don't like the way they are doing the pressure door now. This is a manual door and cannot print when closed. Ink consumption also seems to be much higher than previous models. I'm already thinking about replacing it, so I don't recommend it.

Ink Suction Machine

Aside from all the connection issues and LONG startup times, I can't believe how much ink this printer sucks. I've had this printer for 6 months now and have only had to buy a THIRD ink set and am only printing about 5 pages a week on average. Every time I type I get an ink low message like I'm about to pour it down the toilet.

Good, but not great: Inkjet printers

Here's what I like: Never use > Compact size > Auto off when not in use and auto on when a document is sent to the printer. What I don't like > The top document feeder has trouble feeding documents directly. Often the document is crooked and the edges crease when pulled > Yes, it has an automatic document feeder and duplex printing, but it doesn't have a two-sided document feeder like my previous Canon MFD. In other words, you have to feed all the documents into the feeder, let them

The printer does not wake up when printing

Very disappointed in Canon and especially in this printer. I bought this for a client and it won't wake up or disconnect from the wifi network. When I googled this problem, I found that I'm not alone. It's such a basic feature that I can't believe Canon released a product with such a problem. I stopped using HP printers because their setup software is ridiculously awful. Now Canon printers need to be woken up by walking into the room and touching the screen. There is no excuse for that. Well I…

Canon has taken a huge step backwards - BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS

I've been a PC user since the 1980's and have used pretty much every type of printer. Canon printers just kept getting better until this one came out. My old Pixma MX922 was the best and when the printhead died I literally mourned its loss. Canon says the TR 7520 is their replacement for the MX922, so I bought it for double the price of the old one and the problems started right away. It got stuck on print jobs and I had to go to each computer and stop the print spooler in Windows 10 and then…

The printer description is misleading - some explanations.

I bought this printer to replace a previous Canon PIXMA I've had since 2012. My previous Pixma was fantastic but in the end the print head failed and I decided to invest my money in a new machine. I am very disappointed in this printer. Although the description says "auto on/off", this is misleading. Yes, you can set the printer to turn on when a job is sent to it. But you also have to go to the printer and open the door to complete the print job. On the other hand, you can leave the door open…

Save ink, good quality, easy to set up and use

This is my third Canon printer. I've been HP's only user and fan for over a decade. Eventually I got tired of constantly swapping out the four printers I use (two for business and two for personal use) and the high cost of HP supplies. I switched to Epson a few years ago and have been happier with Epson printers and ink prices than HP. A little over a year ago I started replacing some Epson printers with Canon printers. This is our third Canon printer. We have fewer issues with (required…

Don't buy this one.

I bought this in the early days of the pandemic. My old canon, which I could weep lyrically over, is dead. I liked my old canon. When Canon tech support and I couldn't get it to work properly, I bought what tech support urged me to do. It was an emergency. And so begins months of disappointment that will last until this damn machine dies. It took me 2.5 months to do simple things like print without borders. You know that simple thing when you put a sheet of paper in a copier and it prints out…
