Review on Motherboard ASRock B550M STEEL LEGEND by Stanislaw Koluch ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I expected more from buying, but not the worst option.

Excellent cooling for the price, however there are some drawbacks to consider as well: 1) The vast majority of the connectors for the case fans are located on the underside. Whose idea was it to make such a decision? It is not possible to connect the fans on the top of the case as well as the component from the front panel if adapters are not used. 2) The mother cannot be used with earlier Nvidia graphics cards due to incompatibility issues. I am not aware of the complete list, and I was not aware that someone has previously discussed this subject. I assumed there would be no image with the gtx 770 until the prices for video cards fell to the suggested ones to seat on the older Asus gtx 770. Until then, there is simply no image. Even asrock support was unable to provide a definitive answer to my questions regarding the nature of the issue. After a month, when I finally had the chance to verify with R7 240, I realized that I had comprehended everything. The picture was able to be viewed once the video card was replaced. It does not appear that this is a problem with the compatibility with older versions. r7 240, which also has PCI Express 3.0 connectivity and was produced in the same year as the gtx 770. 3) It is difficult to access the PCI Express latch, which is, to be fair, a questionable disadvantage because. There is very little room between the tower and the visual card on the processor.

Pros
  • PCIe 4.0 support, plenty of SATA ports, affordable price, and good cooling
Cons
  • It is difficult to access the latch on the PCI Express slot. The case fans have a poor 4pin arrangement. This product does not support earlier competition graphics cards (such as the Asus GTX 770).
