i used it to shave my head without protection. I rarely get cut with it, so that's a plus. It doesn't cut as close as my last pick, but it still does an acceptable job. The previous block I had was so short I could go a full week between cuts and I still do now but with this one I could afford a fresh cut in a 5-6 day range . So, like I said, it's acceptable. I just wish it was a little closer than my last block. The quick charge function is also very nice. One minute of charging equals 10 minutes of use or something like that? You might want to do your homework on that little fact before you take my word for it, but it is something like that.
